Hola! I'm Nina

Allow us to introduce ourselves – we're Nina and Marisol, the passionate co-founders of Amsterdam & Latin Baking Company. Our journey began with a shared love for the rich and flavorful world of Argentinian artisanal baking. Today, we take immense pride in bringing the authentic taste of Argentina to the delightful streets of The Netherlands and beyond! At our Baking Company, we've carefully curated a mouthwatering selection of traditional Argentinian baked goods that will transport your taste buds straight to the heart of Argentina. From our irresistible dulce de leche-filled medialunas to our delectable alfajores, every bite reflects the warmth and love of our homeland's baking heritage.

I made Paris my new home, where I immersed myself in the world of pastry, working hard to improve my skills. The journey was tough but fulfilling. In 2018, with dedication and passion, I proudly graduated from Le Cordon Bleu as a professional pastry chef.

Hola, I'm Marisol

My culinary journey has been a lifelong adventure. I was born and raised in the province of La Pampa. This vast region is the heart of our country, adorned with farms and charming villages where time seems to slow down.Following my passion, I headed to bustling Buenos Aires, where I enrolled in the 'Licenciatura en Gastronomia' program at UADE & IAG. After dedicating four years to both work and study, I proudly got my diploma! Soon after, an amazing opportunity arose for me to take my talents overseas... My culinary journey led me to Europe, where I had the privilege of working in the  kitchen of the iconic restaurant, 'El Bulli.' After this, I continued my culinary journey  first moving to Italy, and then Australia. These experiences not only enriched my expertise but also allowed me to immerse myself in different cultures, broadening my horizons. After coming back to The Netherlands, I worked in well-known hotel brands like Marriott and Mercure. Then, in 2019, during the pre-opening of the sustainable hotel Four Elements, I met Nina, and that's when our exciting baking journey began.

How it all started

It was back in 2019 when our paths first crossed.. we became coleagues during the pre-opening of a hotel in Amsterdam. As we worked side by side in the kitchen, we realized that we both had a shared dream: to create our own baking company with a unique twist.During a slow day at the hotel, we decided to bake some traditional Argentinian pastries using recipes passed down from our grandparents. Among the goodies, we made 'medialunas'...

To our surprise, the response was overwhelming. People from all over wanted to get their hands on our pastries, with some driving for over 2.5 hours just to taste them! That's when we realized the potential, and Amsterdam Baking Company was born.

Our big moment!

Our baking journey started at Marisol's house, where we gathered all the tools and equipment needed. During this period, we baked our goods on weekends and personally delivered them to clients in the Amsterdam, Den Haag, and Utrecht.

However, a game-changer came when we launched our webshop and teamed up with a professional courier service. This move marked a significant transformation, allowing us to explore new possibilities and reach a wider audience.
